Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026

TongFlow is an open-source project (AGPL-3.0). The source lives at github.com/tong-io/tongflow. You can read, modify, and self-host the software under the terms of the license.

These Terms apply to the optional hosted version at app.tongflow.com and to this marketing site. If you self-host, your relationship is governed by the AGPL-3.0 license, not by these Terms.

1. The software (open source)

The TongFlow source code is published under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (AGPL-3.0). The full license text is in the repository.

You may run, study, modify, and redistribute the software under the AGPL's terms. There is no separate End-User License Agreement — the AGPL is the agreement.

2. The hosted version (app.tongflow.com)

If you use the hosted convenience version at app.tongflow.com, you agree to use it lawfully and in good faith. The hosted version is currently in preview: features may change, availability is not guaranteed, and pricing is not yet finalized. We will publish concrete commercial terms here before billing is enabled.

The hosted version executes workflows by calling third-party providers (Modal, OpenRouter, Google Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek). Their terms of service apply to data you send through those nodes.

3. AI output disclaimer

TongFlow orchestrates third-party AI models. AI outputs can be incorrect, biased, misleading, or infringing. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before using or distributing them. The studio is not a substitute for professional advice — medical, legal, financial, or otherwise.

The project authors make no warranty regarding output accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use TongFlow to:

  • Generate content that infringes the rights of others or violates the law.
  • Generate sexual content depicting minors, or content that promotes violence, harassment, or discrimination.
  • Impersonate real people in a way that could cause harm.
  • Circumvent the rate limits or safety filters of upstream API providers.

If you self-host, you are also bound by the policies of the AI providers whose APIs you configure.

5. Ownership of outputs

You own the inputs you put into the canvas and, subject to the upstream providers' terms, the outputs you generate. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to anything you upload (images, audio, documents, etc.).

6. No warranty, limitation of liability

The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, as stated in the AGPL-3.0. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the project authors and contributors are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the software or the hosted version.

7. Changes

These Terms will be updated as the hosted version reaches stability. We'll keep this page short and honest — only stating what the current state actually allows us to commit to.
